Using negatives from a recent roll of film, I experimented with projection with what I had at my disposal. Using the lightbulb from my bedside table lamp, I placed a physical filter (the packet from the negatives) over the bulb to get a toned down exposure. I filmed on my iPhone, myself balancing the film over the top of the bulb. Inspired by the white boxes used by Louise to view the images on the film I created this film. The background noise I used is the noise from the video layered three times and distorted in editing to create a ambience of a viewing gallery piece but made strange and undistinguishable.
