Camera Shots:

XCU: Extreme Close-Ups: very close to object, includes only part of face/object
CU: Close Up: fills entire screen with subjects face, more facia, detail.
MS: Medium Shot: crops between knees and waist, focus on object but includes surroundings.
LS/WS: Long shot, Wide Shot: Same thing, Head to toe surroundings.
XLS/XWS: Extreme Long Shot or Extreme Wide Shot: establishing shot, show audience where they are.
Transitions:
Jump Cut: cut to different scenes, to show a time or change of location.
Dissolve: a gradual transition form one scene to the next, one scene gradually begins to disappear as the second scene gradually appears.
Fade-in/Fade-out: A fade is when one scene gradually fades into one complete colour, usually white or black. Fade-ins occur at the beginning of a scene, fade-ins occur at the end of a scene.
Intercutting/Parallel Cutting: two or more different scenes of action that are suppose to be happening simultaneously.
